Copper Coil

Can the copper coil stop periods?

I know it shouldn't, but I think mine has. I have not had a period since April and had erractic periods for 9 months prior. I had the coil out a month ago after 2.5 years. Am desperate for baby no 2 but obviously no period = no baby. Could it be the coil or something else?

Hmm. That worries me. The doc did a smear and it came back ok. I am still relatively young so not sure what is going on!
