My children have asked for 'cheap version of Air pods'. Can anyone recommend a decent pair? I don't really know what I'm looking for 😂

My DH bought me these to use on holiday:

I really like them. I don’t get on with AirPods - they fall out of my ears - but these have been fine.
Not as slick or trendy as AirPods, but they perform perfectly well.
I’d make sure your DCs were interested in them before buying though (street credibility and all that).

Groupon sent me an email yesterday, they are doing ones compatible with Apple for under £30, a choice of colours and come in a nice case.

Please don’t buy them at all - they are so bad for the environment !

The Apple ones are bad enough - but cheap ones will be even worse - they not recyclable and the will stop holding their charge fairly quick and make them unusable!! And you will just dump something that will remain here in the planet forever :(

I have the Jbuds linked up thread. They're not great quality (compared to Bose or B&O) but great price for true wireless. Buy them from John Lewis though - you get a better warrantee and they are great at replacing or refunding headphones.

I'm interested in this. DD wants a pair but even 2nd hand ones seem to be at least £50.

Plus can pretty sure guarantee she'll lose one within a month Hmm

I bought my daughter some Mayhem in ear pods, I got them from Raymans online but I know next have them online too. So far they seem fine!

We have the JLab JBuds mentioned above. (£34.99 in Argos for the black ones) and they're great.
My DC has had them for well over 9 months - no issue with battery charge or quality.
@KaptenKrusty - much of what we consider recyclable is rarely actually so, e.g. trays for salami or cheese, and yet we buy these every single week.

I’ve just bought 2 pairs of the i12 ones from eBay for £12.99. DH tried them both and they work ok.

They came in different colours and looked pretty cool. Hopefully they’ll be a hit with the kids.
