Nice non-alcoholic Christmas drinks

I'm working a night shift on Christmas night. I'd normally have some champagne on Christmas Day and would like some non-alcoholic ideas so I still feel like it's a treat?

If you don't like sweet I've heard , but haven't tried yet, Seedlip is nice mixed with a good tonic as a non alcoholic alternative to gin. It's also calorie free.

Fever tree elderflower tonic. Next best thing to G&T! Not too sweet.

Fentimans Ginger Beer and a dash of Roses Lime Cordial.

I bought the Belvoir Mulled Wine drink, (non alcohol) - one bottle was
warmed , poured in a jug with orange and apple slices.
The second bottle sat glumly in the Pantry till I poured it down the sink (out of date)

Seedlip. Its an alcohol free herbal distillation. Mix like gin... Doesnt really taste like gin, but its delicious. Also about the same price as gin though!

Hibiscus tea cooled looks amazing... and its a bit more of a grown up taste than sweet drinks if you see what I mean.

We had a hcp at Christmas last year and drank Rawson's Retreat Sparkling (0.5%). It tasted a lot like the real thing

I'm quite fond of a gin-less tonic, with ice and garnish, if I'm driving. It's not as sweet as other fizzy drinks.

Thank you for that mulled apple juice recipe @AnonEvent, I can't wait to try it. I'm a huge mulled wine fan, but alcohol-free wine seems to be one of my migraine triggers and there's a limit to how much of the regular stuff I can/should drink.

Following as I'd like some alcohol free alternatives just for weekends and things. I'm a lover of white wine and always find the non alcoholic drinks disgustingly sweet as I'm not really a juice/pop drinker.

Nigella has some interesting looking mocktails in her Christmas book. Unfortunately, I'm far too cosy and lazy to get up and walk the 10 metres or so to the shelf in the kitchen to have a look. I can see if they're on her website though. I suppose I can spare some finger taps for a good cause.

It is really hard to find non alcoholic 'fancy' drinks that aren't really sweet. Speaking as a pregnant lady who doesn't really like fizzy pop.

Seedlip is on my list to try. Brewdog nanny state is a good, hoppy low alcohol beer. Co-op do no alcohol cans of g&t which are surprisingly palatable! The only way I've got on with echo falls no alcohol wine is to serve with sliced fresh peaches, strawberries and ice. It might work as mulled wine...

When I was pregnant I drank that Sainsbury's non alcoholic sparkling wine at Christmas - it surprisingly nice! Smile

Some lovely ideas - I love fentimans Rose lemonade and I think I'll treat myself to a few other suggestions too!
Am going to take a few bottles into work too; I'm a midwife on delivery suite Christmas night so a nice drink to wet newborn Christmas babies heads Wine

We sometimes have this for parties where we know people come by car:

www.alcoholfree.co.uk/echo-falls-sparkling-infusion-750ml-p-743.html

A bit on the sweet side, def no processo/champagne replacement but looks nice in a champagne glass and a bit different to Sloher and Appletiser.

The non alcoholic 'gin' is seedlip, there's a herby one and a spicy one, both very nice. I also like fentimans rose lemonade and belvoirs winter drink- (punch? There a cordial too).

There you go! I would like to try it as many non alcoholic drinks are too sweet & I think it might not be.

Not festive but I am trying to lose weight and have become addicted to cawston press rhubarb and apple sparkling water. It is amazing and I don't miss having wine or gin at all
