So, which presents have you put in a 'safe place' and now can't find?

I think I've got all mine. After hunting out gifts that had been stashed on my kitchen shelf, in my wardrobe - which is now breathing a sigh of relief after 2 heavy bags have been removed.


I spend a fraught ten mins looking for a book that arrived for DD2 and found it where it had fallen down the side of the sofa.

Still MIA - the personalised label I ordered for my niece for a nutella jar. I couldn't find the ones I got for my DD's but managed to locate them this weekend for their stockings, but the one that I ordered separately is still unaccounted for.

Today I found a present that mil had got for Ds4 and had been safely hidden since October, I had forgotten all about it.

Anyway the tooth fairy has forgotten to visit Ds4 this week so now as well as a pound they will leave this gift and a letter. He will be chuffed to bits with it, it's nothing big just an iron man onsie and matching slipper boots but he is super hero obsessed and will love it.

3 things - 1 stocking item for each child (wrapped) and 1 cd for oh (unwrapped) Think the stocking gifts accidentally made their way into dps present bag. Not a clue where the cd is. Really need to find it too as he got it from someone else!!

I've lost a Christmas jumper, but that's mine and it doesn't matter that I can't find it, probably until Jan to then put away til next year.

Ive lost a really big box of chocolates! I dont understand how and where they could have gone! I did have them on top of the fridge, but the cat kept pushing them off with his sneaky paws. I thought of a safe place, and have no idea where that is. Most likely with all of my other missing items i put in safe places!

Thankfully it was just a spare gift i thought is throw in for my parents.

I found my Nutella label today. My mum had decided to tidy and I found it in the recycling box! Slightly damp as has been raining, but looks ok now been in the airing cupboard.

I lost my best friend's present. I bought it in October and wrapped it (I have no memory of doing this). I have searched everywhere for weeks. I live in London. It has just been found by my mum in Portsmouth.

Not this year but when my dd was 8 I brought a 'to my daughter at Christmas ' card .... I looked everywhere for it.

I found it when we moved 4yrs later , it is still sat on the book shelf waiting to be written .... Dd is 18 next birthday

That remains to be seen. I bought the gifts and DH has wrapped them. It's not unusual for a random gift to turn up around March .

Last Christmas I decided not to add 2xlego superhero dvds to DS1 stocking as he had too much and didn't need more - I had gone a bit shopping crazy. Planned to give them this year instead. Hid them away somewhere. No idea where.

Nutella labels seem to be featuring in this thread.

I bought 2 last year then couldn't find them. The children were then baffled by the extra jars of Nutella in the cupboard.

Thankfully I found the labels recently, put them in a safe place, bought 2 jars of Nutella I stashed away. But not sure where the Nutella is now.

I think it may be in the laundry basket.

I think the only thing that isn't accounted for is a Mario Kart Knex figure/bike. It's a small stocking filler so it's not the end of the world if it doesn't turn up. Still no idea where Despicable Me 2 is from last year though.

I'm still finding last years gifts!
Not repeated it this year. They all went in carrier bags in the bottom of my wardrobe. I stuck a piece of paper inside and wrote the bag/shop name and number of presents it contained. I was frazzled last year and searching/wrapping into the early hours. This year there was no searching so everything is wrapped already. Except the chocolates as they are still in the shop. We're stuck at home until scooby doo & the ghoul school finishes, sigh. They love scooby doo. Santa has brought the DC the mystery machine, character & Schleich monster figures as a shared present in the hope we can add to the collection for more imaginative play.
