If you have done fuck all to help with the present buying (including your own family) then don't bitch that the present is wrong, especially when I said what I was I was buying and you didn't check when I was ordering it.

Can you tell that I am slightly pissed off?!!!

Money is the other issue in that we have 2 DC so what you spend on one you have to spend on the other. So this alternative present is going to cost an extra £20 so that's another £20 to go to the other DC. So in total an extra £40. We have saved for the presents so it's not a major issue but the reason it goes further is that I shop around and buy things on offer

Ha Ha. DH sent me a text yeaterday that said "stop spending money I've just looked at the bank statement"

I asked him if he wanted to do the christmas shopping next year. His reply was "Erm no, as you were"

Can I just add - if you don't help with the food, don't complain about it either.

I agree.

I do all the gift buying in our house. My OH fully supports my decisions however - if he didn't he'd get short shrift from me!

As it is, he gets a quick briefing 5 minutes before we get to the gift recipients house so he knows what 'we' have bought! Grin
