Elf my out and out FAVOURITE! "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear." Smile

Santa Who? Little known but brilliant film where Santa crash lands his sleigh and gets amnesia - will the little boy in it help him get his memory back by Christmas Eve?!

Elf
Nativity
Grinch
Fred Claus
Disney Christmas Carol

I'm writing loads of these down as I want to buy some more Christmas films this year.

I sort of love Love Actually too but I always remember the bit where Mark tells Juliet he loves her and I jokingly said to DH "Why didn't you do that?" and he replied "if you looked like her I would have" Angry That was 8 years ago so I'm slowly getting over it Grin still really dislike kiera bloody knightley though

Whilst they're not Christmassy, I love watching Princess Diaries, high school musical and any sort of trashy film really Grin usually on our first day off with a picnic of cheese, biscuits and lots of wine.

My 4yo loves Muppets Christmas Carol.

(He was beside himself with joy when I bought him Muppets Treasure Island this summer holiday for a treat! Smile)

I love the Snowman, and even though I've seen it dozens of times, I still cry each time.

I like Its a Wonderful Life and Love Actually too.

Ooh yeah Pelvic, got to love Charlie Brown!

Love lots of these but if you're starting to flag a little and could do with something just for grownups I'd recommend Bad Santa - Billy Bob Thornton at his absolute best (or should that be worst?) Definitely save it for when the kids have gone to bed though.

The Snowman and A Charlie Brown Christmas are where it's at in this house.

All of the above, plus Box Of delights (80s BBC), not a film, but available in DVD and 'A Christmas Story' (I think) which is really funny (the one with the leg-shaped lamp...)

The channel that has all the Christmas films....every year they show "A Carol Christmas".
Tori Spelling in a Scrooge remake. Confused
'Tis bad.

But I LOVE "Lost Christmas"

All of them! Seriously if its Christmassy I'm guaranteed to love it. We try to watch most of these mentioned in December

Polar Express
Nativity
Nativity 2 (even though David Tennant is in it)

I wayched "It's a Wonderful Life" but I couldn't get into it.
Same with the Bing Crosby film where they sing "Snow,Snow,Snow,Snow"

The Snowman- essential. It's on the planner. Everything stops for The Snowman.
The Gruffalo for smaller DC

A Christmas Carol (the Jim Carey animated one) for not-so-small- DC Grin

Tradition in our gaff dictates these following films are to be watched before Christmas or else...
National lampoons Christmas vacation
The holiday
Love actually
Santa clause the movie
Elf
4 Christmases

Then when I've done that I'll switch over to sky Christmas and watch whatever they've got going on over there.

I won't entertain watching any Christmas films (bah humbug!) except The Polar Express, preferably on Christmas Eve, with the kids. (and a drop of ginger wine)
