DP would love a simple but good toy helicopter - any recommendations for under £50 if possible
Thanks Smile

I was in Hamleys the other day and they seemed to have a good one which the cheerful young men who work there (yes, I know I sound about 100 years old) were demonstrating. They kept crashing it into people in order to (I assume) demonstrate how hard-wearing it is.

NOOOO - it's like trapping a terrified sparrow in your sitting room. Twice now, ds has received one, and twice now we have had it crashing around uncontrollably trying to find freedom. Buy him an itunes voucher instead. Grin

Don't let him fly it out of range, he'll never get it back it will just plummet to the ground!

Look on the net for the name Syma. DS2 has had a lovely one. He paid £25 for his, but you can get it for about £15 on the net. He went to Mankind. Go and look in their shops to see what ones are about. His hovers, and is easy to control. Some have lights which looks really cool. His is quite small. It's an indoor 'copter.

Based on the experience of my mother 3 years ago, I wouldn't bother. She bought my dad one and really it was a waste of money. I think she spent near lenough £50 too.

You really need to spend upward of £100 to get anything decent that is easy to control and won't break at the first crash landing.

Sorry!
