Ds is 12 soon and im struggling to find things to get him for Christmas. I have his main gift. That was easy. So far i have also got

2 ps3 games
Hollister hoodie
Pjs and slippers
2 board games
Books (hunger games)

Now im stuck. The only things I can think of are possibly

Aftershave
New ps3 headset
Speakers for laptop (main gift)

Any other suggestions?

He doesnt really like lego or similar. And paper jams were not a huge hit last year.

TIA

I have 11 & 12 year old boys so I feel the pain.

12 year old wants an Architect drawing board and A2 paper - special peb=ncils set squares etc. Well, he actually wants a new gaming PC at 1000 pound so this is 2nd choice! He is also wanting a graphics tablet, gaming mouse/keyboard, some PC games, Guinness Book of record/Ripleys, A onesie, some DVDs, I picked him up a Devid Beckham shower gel and spray set. He has some other books he wants too. He is also getting an upgrade to his little pen-knife of a proper Scouts knife.

No 2 son wants a PS Vita and games, some manga and anime books as well as some art stuff and books and a onesie - he is getting a multi tool pen knife for scouts too.

They both like some Lord of the Rings Lego Stuff

No 1 son got a Superdry wallet for his birthday that might go down well and they both got Minecraft Mouse mats last year

I've not head him mention minecraft so no idea where to start with that stuff.

He did ask for a scooter back in the summer but the one he liked was £300 Shock didnt look any different to thr cheapo asda ones imo. His dad is supposed to be getting him one now anyway.

tilly Im a seasoned hollister shopper these days. I've got him a tshirt and sweatshirt from there for his birthday in a few weeks.

Projection alarm clock is exactly what im looking for. Will check out amazon for one.

this afternoon i have ordered him a couple of pre-owned games and a few laptop accessories.

Just his stocking to do and then I need to finish his sister Confused

Some warning re: scooters, this might be a regional thing but around here all the boys are obsessed with scooters until the end of primary and then once they're in secondary, being seen on a scooter is a bit like being seen holding mum's hand.

I'm glad I'm not the only one re: Minecraft. DS1 and DS2 both love it and could spend hours on it if I let them. Some of the stuff they have built is amazing though, and they don't get stroppy when I ask them to save & quit, which has been known with other computer games.

Guilty I did buy Assassins Creed & Halo4 for my DS.

We let him play 16 Fantasy Games (not Real Life style like Call of Duty)

I checked re the 18 and was told that there has been a change (? with the manufacturers) and it is more a 16.

Any road up- some people/lots of people wouldn't buy a 16 for a 13 yo.
But I will check them before I give to my DS, so I give selected ones.

My DS is 11 and I have got him:

A Minecraft t-shirt
Mine craft poster
minecraft Lego (spot a theme?)
He loves Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers so got him a book and DVD
Full set of the Harry Potter movies - we have never watched them
Superdry Hoodie
Logo board game
Cube board game

Some other stuff which I can't remember.

He wants some PS games but that will involve an argument as he wants ones he is not allowed have!

I might get him one of those Young Driver lessons.

I agree it's a hard age for boys. Girls are so much easier!

I disagree with thread title, but to try to give ideas:

Any sport equipment bits he might like (DH is buying DS new cycling shoes)
Sub to a good magazine/comic, like Flipside or The Phoenix.
Experience, like tickets to a footie match.
accessories for game consoles (like keyboard for an iPad)
iTunes vouchers, iPod, iPad
Browse the Firebox catalog (gotta do this for DH, too, sigh)
One trendy hoody (whatever his mates think is cool)
Archery or Air Rifle lessons/sessions

My 13yo has a long Warhammer list.

DS would like but won't get:
Hunger Games on DVD, BB Gun a nubile 14yo girl.

Assassins Creed - surely 18+?

Dr Dre Beats we had for 12 year old last year & he's used all year. Well worth the money.

JD Bug scooter?

Have recently bought alarm clock for birthday & chose one which projects time on the wall. Went down a storm.

Lyle & Scott/Ralph Lauren scarves - £20.00 TKMax

My DS has asked for a nerf gun, so bought that for £40 from Argos. Also some pjs, but that'll be all tbh. Perhaps some smelly sprays.
Have some time off work and looking forward to hanging out with him and family for Christmas (although he's bound to be lost to the world of MineCraft!)
Hope helps!

I have a 13 yr old and 15 yr old DSs to buy for.
Ds2 is impossible to buy for! He sold his Xbox a few months ago and bought a laptop off ebay. So can't buy any games.
He hasn't played with any toys for years.

I really have no idea what to get him and he can't think of anything other than £100+ beats headphones and sweets!

My DS is 13 next month (so we have to find 2 lots of presents )

So far he's got (and some of these he's had a bit early)

Halo 4 and Assassins Creed game (I gave him these on the release date, it wasn't fair to make him waut, and he knows they are early presents)
Surround sound for his TV/X-Box. (Again he knows it's early)

A Young Drivers Lesson (we couldn't get a booking for Dec so rather than wait till Feb, he's had his 2nd lesson)

###############################################

Other things waiting for him:
Primark jumper (he's not label 'aware' thankfully Grin so no Hollister yet

A wallet (Halo pattern )
A nice crispy new £50 note in a box (he's a saver bordering on miser )
Lynx spray and wash

A Halo figure (no idea which , £10 from Sainsburys)

Yes they are a nightmare to buy for. My DS isn't old enough for alot of 'man things' (he's not shaving yet) and too old for some of his previous childhood presents.

DD is much easier (10 yo). Clothes, smellies, more clothes, jewellry and guinea-pig related things.

It's called Fluxx. A strategy-type game. Lots of different themed spin-offs; we're getting him the Space one as he likes his sci-fi.
