I am thinking of getting an Aquaplay set for DS1 (4 yo). I saw it for the first time in the letterbox catalogue and it looks good.

Do you have one, and if so, which one? Would you recommend it? And where do your DC play with it? I am hoping that its isnt just an outdoor toy.

Thanks. at least I know now! DS' birthday is in january, so it always seems a little cruel to get him outdoor presents for Christmas and his birthday! If he receives money, I could always keep some back and buy an Aquaplay in the summer.

Definitely an outdoor toy here too. My parents got a set for DS for his 3rd birthday, and while I love it, I have to say he hasn't played with it much yet. I gather DN still plays with his at 10 though, so he may enjoy it more next summer.

We have an Aquaplay set fairly similar to the one in the Letterbox catalogue (assuming that it is the bigger of the two configurations shown that they're selling - I don't think it's clear). For £60 I would say that is great value compared to other Aquaplay sets I've seen. However, for us it is very much an outdoor toy - inevitably the seals do leak, and it would be near impossible to empty the water out without simply tipping the whole thing over and letting the lawn soak up all the water. There are bits that can be used year round - the boats and the lock pumps would make great bath toys, but overall, I can't see how you would use it indoors.
