Evening screaming fits

Please tell me my maternal instinct is right. DD (25 weeks) was suffering from croup last week and has been left with just a cough now. I think she is teething because she also has a snuffly nose, although she hasn't actually cut any as yet. She is generally fine during the day, quite content, eats well and is happy to sit and play/laugh with her DS (4 yrs). She doesn't (and never has) sleep very much through the day, maybe 2 x 40 minute naps (if I'm lucky!) For the last two weeks by 5pm she is screaming the house down and continues to do so until she has cried herself to sleep. Only then when she wakes is she happy to have her dinner, a nice bath followed by milk and then bed.

I am convinced that maybe she is still a little low from the croup but also teething but niggling at the back of my mind is the fact that I returned to work 3 weeks ago, working evenings, and so basically from the time I leave, she is screaming. Please tell me it isn't because I am not there. It is so hard to sit at work, knowing she is upset.
