Sorry if this has already been discussed here - I searched but couldn't find anything...
We just moved to a new area and the HV just phoned to make an appointment to come and see us. I had been waiting anxiously for this call since I enrolled at our new GP as I have had terrible experiences with HVs. Anyway, I said in a very nice way "I actually haven't seen a health visitor in over a year so it's probably not necessary. But thanks very much anyway". She sounded really taken aback and asked me lots of questions about the boys (aged 3 and 4.5) and I answered them all politely. She seemed OK about it though and it was all very friendly.
Now I'm getting paranoid that she'll red-flag us - do you think its OK to decline their services?
Thanks for your help!
