Advice on kids skin conditions needed please

So my son developed a rash all over about 2 weeks ago. Hes came out with spots and was constantly itchy for days. The rash has seemed to clear up but he has developed crusty puss filled spots on his hands. The doctor seemed to think it was impetigo although it looks nothing like it. He was given antibiotics that have made no difference. It just seems to be getting worse. It started off as 3 spots.. any ideas what it could be? Thanks :)

It looks like infected eczema or something. How long on antibiotics now? Maybe try an emollient or something too? And yes impetigo is a skin infection, causing spots and crusting.
