What is yours? CM friend and I remembered we need to have one in place...

I was under the impression that a "book" is not necessarily acceptable now, and that we should have the correct forms, which I've been told can be downloaded from Ofsted, instead. I think I will cover myself completely and have a book, and a wad of forms and a nervous breakdown.

hmm.

Apparently Ofsted want a written complaints procedure policy and book.

Complaints Procedure NB the contact details for Ofsted on this page are out of date so don't copy that bit!

I've got the number of my contact at the local Early Years team too. But no-one would ever complain about me!

Do you mean for parents to make complaints about us?

If yes, I request that parents approach me first if there is anything they are unhappy about. If they want to make a more formal complaint, I've given the Ofsted phone number and website details, and the NCMA helpline number. I also tell them that I have a Complaints Book - I cannot believe that a parent would request to fill this in if they were so unhappy though, I'm sure they would contact Ofsted direct!
