I don't tend to leave things specifically out, but let them know where to find things. They tend not to bother, IME.

£4ph as suggested by them.

I might leave a snack depending on how long I intend to stay out and how pissed I will be when I get back.

£5 an hour and leave some drinks and snacks on the kitchen worktop, although she has always been too polite to open them

I think £5 an hour is fair and you should pay them fairly well as you want them to be nice to your kids !!! I always leave out something to eat and if I dont get time say that I will get them a pizza. babysitters are god sends !

£4 an hour if no bedtime duties or 'mucking about' kids. £5 if bothered.
