I had a EMCS with DC1 and for many reasons had a difficult recovery and have never really bounced back. I'll be having a ELCS in a few weeks time for DC2 and I'm hoping this time to be better prepared and have a much better recovery.
I'm really fortunate that DH will take 2 weeks paternity leave and 2 weeks hols, and DC1 will continue to go to nursery so I fully plan on making the most of it, doing as little as possible with maximum pandering to ensure I'm off to the best possible start.
But I'm looking for ideas both on how to heal post-surgery - physio type tips, using a abdominal belt etc - but also ideas of fabulous nourishing meals that DH can bring me whilst I'm lounging in bed with a newborn (doesn't it sound great?!?!). I love some of the Asian customs for a 30 day 'confinement' but not so keen on pigs trotters and fish soup for lunch.
Any suggestions?
