I feel weird down below...hard to explain! 39 + 2 weeks pregnant

My second baby so the midwife said it wouldn't engage completely until labour starts and may pop in and out of pelvis. We've just been for a walk to the park with dd and I said to my dh on the way back that the head feels like it's right between my legs! I started waddling a bit. Got home and sat down and out my feet up but my bum feels kind of achey and have this weird sensation down below like there's something there...really hard to explain but presumably the baby has dropped. I don't remember this feeling at all with dd! Am I about to go into labour or is this just as likely to pass and feel normal again later? I've had no contractions as yet apart from occasional braxton hicks but I've had those for weeks and weeks anyway.

I'm not ready yet! I haven't finished my housework!

I had this with mine...felt like a foot was dangling out!

Haha! Yup that's it! Very odd. But not so bad today and the midwife did say a second baby will often "pop in and out" so maybe that's what it was!

I had this feeling with my first pregnancy from about 38 weeks until he was born (unfortunately he didn't come until 42 weeks! Sorry Grin).

Like a bowling ball was lodged in my foof Grin

Thanks for your reply. I really thought last night would be the night but have woken this morning and so far feel normal again!

Yes sounds like it to me. The day before I had DC3 I had what sounds very much like you descried and in fact was walking around holding my bump up from underneath because that was the only thing which made walking comfortable.
