Confess to a bit of a yen for colourful blankets and cushions, but that is because our tent is so Outwell-khaki, otherwise it feels like we are in MAS*H.

We are utterly minimialist campers (born of having no car until fairly recently)... but Jolly days looks fantastic!
Some of those tents are bigger than my house...

I wonder what is in the fancy dress tent? Maybe you can dress up for a day like the oiks down the road at the standard campsite, with generic crocs, 3/4 length trousers from George and a 5 year old mishapen t-shirt with the stains of last night's spag bol on.

I seem to have a foot in both camps
'Grubby minimalist' is my look i guess.(which is the worst of both worlds really isn't it )
I would love to be all spotty plates and and chequered bunting but somehow i fail miserably in the garnishing dept. (despite having the required tangled haired grubby girl)
My friend Marthamoo is a natural garnisher...she doesn't actually really like camping that much...she just likes the 'stuff' She spends 10 minutes in her tent and it is like an instant bedouin makeover. She should offer out her services-'Ponce my tent'

LOL yes. You get to take one (foldable) tea light holder and one triangle of bunting that triples up as the seive and an emergency sling.

i think i am just jealous cos glamping would not work in scotland.
a. it is too damm bright you would ahve to wait until aobut 11 for dusk to admire the tea lights
b. and then alll the midgies in teh world would come to feast by the pretty lights.
