Has anyone used a Tangerine fields campsite at a festival

We are thinking about camping at the Hay festival this year and wondered about camping as everywhere else seems booked up. The tangerine fields company provide the tent (& toilets & showers) but I wanted to find out if anyone reccomends them before I go ahead and book.

Thanks for all the info.
I just have to convince DP now that it will be fun & exciting for the kids. I wish I had thought about it last week when the weather was wonderful, he's less likely to agree when it's raining, as it will remind him of how wet our holiday was last year!

About 15 - 20 minutes walk to the festival site depending on the crowds, but they do put on shuttle buses from the clock tower (the nearest stop to the camp site about 5 minutes walk) that run every 10 minutes I think they were a pound for the day last year. There are loads of places to eat (the Blur Boar does a fabulous breakfast but it does cost a small fortune, well I think £7 for breakfast is a lot), but bear in mind most of them will stop serving food at 2 - 3 and then start again in the evening.

There is a supermarket opposite the camp site so you don't need to bring loads of stuff with you. Wellies are essential the festival site can turn into a bog at a moments notice and give Glastonbury a good run for its money.

Thanks for the info BurpyErnie.
When you say it's a bit of a walk, how long are we talking about ?
Also are there any eating places nearby or do we have to be organized and take everything with us.

Yes I used them last year. Their pre pitched tents are fantastic, I got ours by accident (involving turning up to the site with the outside of a 6 man tent and the inside of a 2 man tent, 3 children, in mud and rain looking extremely pathetic managed to get the pre pitched for half price ) and they come with air beds! There are toilets and showers, and the field is right opposite a large co-op, very handy. Bit of a walk from the festival site mind, but you can get the shuttle bus from the clock tower. That's if the site is still in the same field.

Bumping for the evening crowd. Come on there must be some festival fans out there who have tried Tangerine fields.
