Went to Delamont last year, it was v good but want somewhere different this yr. Benone is very close by so we go there weekends but want somewhere further afield for our longer holiday. Wanted to book in at Carnfunnock this year but they're booked out already for the dates we need. Any recommendations? THanks.

If you want somewhere quiet without much in the way of facilities try here: www.mournecamping.com. It's near Newcastle in County Down. Really quiet and lovely views of the sea and the Mourne Mountains. They also have one place designated for fires which is nice, particualrly if, like us, you are the only ones on the site.

In Donegal we stayed here: homepage.eircom.net/~sleepyhollows/. Another really nice site although the midges were a bit of a pain. We were there in wet drizzly weather though which may have made it worse. They do have midge-killing machines which should help if you decide to stay here.

There are some good sites in Portrush/Portstuart and of course you're then right near Barries! But personally I find Co Down (around Portaferry) offers more to do.

Is it for tent or tourer caravan?

I found this site which may be of help!
