Rainy day activites in the Vendee

I've been going to the Vendee on and off for the last 15yrs+. The last time we took DD, she was only 12months so was happy to be carted round with us. DD is now 3 and has an opinion on everything!
Can you help me make a list of activities to do if the weather is bad. I know there is meant to be a great aquarium at Talmont (7eme Continent). There is the zoo (mainly outdoors though) at Les Sables. There is apparently a kids farm in Avrille but again outdoors. I don't think DD would be ready for Puy de Fou. Has anyone tried the Indian Forest in Moutiers? Futuroscope is an option but miles away!
I'm hoping the weather will be excellent so we can sit on the beach all the time, but just in case.....! Merci beaucoup!

I've found the roads a sclear as can be in the Vendee , even in August. Minimal traffic jams which are only once in the verymiddle of a parking area at a popular beach for example.

Queues inside Futuroscope are really big in summer -I'd visit it out of season as it is wortha visit but not with queues if you want to get the most out of it.

If it rains at lkeast it usually is very brief and soon clears.

There are some public swimming pools around which are incredibly cheap- an outdoors one was good (can't remember where it was but expect many small towns have them), but the point is if you go to the local municipal pool NOT a tourist fun park, it is really empty, really clean, cheap, big, hasgrassed areas to sit on and avoids driving to the coast if you are based near the beach but on a daywhen the weather is changeable.

Saintes has a good cathedral, small park with play area and some fair restaurants.

We've been there a few times - Depends when you're going but In anticipation of dodgy weather I've always packed - waterproofs and long trousers

Great beaches for kites, fishing nets, bat and ball games etc.

If its really wet - don't drive - roads are packed We've sat in 2 hour traffic jams around Les Sables in summer - card games, maybe a dvd, painting - usual 3 yr entertainments - boules etx
