VW Campervan Poptop replacement

I'm not sure if this is a good place to post but I couldn't see anywhere better…

We have a '72 VW Baywindow camper van. It needs the pop top canvas replacing. I have bought a replacement but the guy i was going to use cannot do it anymore. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone in the NW (ideally greater manchester/west yorkshire) area that did this (and knew what they were doing)? The roof support bars also need a bit of tlc

……Or of any forums good for such questions? We've not quite made it onto the VW 'scene' as doing the van up, moving house and having 2 kids has been a bit of a distraction since buying it!! . Hoping to start to enjoy having it now though!!

toomany can you recommend any forums in particular? Castleford is about an hour for us so ideally closer would be better but not out of the question.

You should go on the early bay/ late bay forums, depending on what you have. Our's is early, 1971. VZI is also good for advice. The guy we use is in Castleford, West Yorkshire, but he is mainly mechanical.
