Hi Dinny

Park Farm nr Bodiam - allows campfires (you can buy wood from people at the site) You don't need to book and you can choose where to pitch. Simple but effective!

wow lucky you Funky, what a great place to live!!

Enid recommended Burnbake on another thread and it looked lovely.

Kimmeridge Bay was fab and I found Tyneham very sad - a village of broken promises.

Hope the weather is good for you.

oh and welcome to MN.

Hi, this is my 1st message on Mumsnet!. I live just down the road from the Steepleaze campsite, there are loads of beaches nearby - Kimmeridge, NOT a sandy beach but lots of rockpools etc. Tyneham/Worbarrow is nearby - on the army ranges, Tyneham is a village that the army requistioned in the war and never gave back. Then there's Swanage, Lulworth etc nearby.

I would really recommend Burnbake campsite at Rempstone, which is near Corfe Castle. They have reasonably nice showers and a little shop. It's a really nice laidback site set in woodland. I think if you google burnbake it should come up with the goods.

We're camping at Osmington near Weymouth this coming weekend so fingers crossed for sunshine!!.

Sorry if I have not followed etiquette, I just got excited about seeing you talking about somewhere that I drive past on a daily basis.

Happy camping!!!

they deffo don't have a website, people that go there go through hearing from others, we spoke top the farmer last time we were there and he said he didn't want it to get too busy. Its just outside a village called Steeple on the road between corfe and lulworth it has a small signpost outside but is not a commercial type place in any way shape or form. I would strongly recommend it as long as you don't mind the lack of fascilities etc.
