Seems like it could be just the thing for freeing up some much needed space in the car, thereby allowing me to take 4 sheepskins for decor added warmth... is this a the reasoning of a fool? Is it the wrong sort of trade off?
advice welcomed Wink

Cheap tescos normal pillows are your friend if you don't want to take yours. But not inflatable

We always take our own pillows, nothing worse than not being comfortable at camping.

Ah, camping pillows! Thank you MummyPig for something else to add to the list! We currently camp with roll mats, air beds, sleeping bags, fleece blankets, duvets and our pillows! Bedding takes up sooo much space in the car, but I can't bear to be uncomfortable at night Sad. Maybe in this heat I could dare to leave the duvets at home????

To continue, by camping pillows I mean the small squashy ones you squeeze into a bag. Very soft but tiny so you might want to put a jumper underneath for a bit of height. Quechua and other camping brands sell them and they are way better than inflatable ones.

Honestly, they're crap. There is no give or softness in them. Better to take some empty pillowcases and stuff with soft clothes. Or buy camping pillows.

worst case scenario... they're crap and we bin them and have to fashion pillows out of dirty laundry and stuff sacks like last time

eek, knittedwaffle that's a good point! we are already pushing our luck with air mattresses, cannot risk anything else going down in the night. Wine def stays. something else can go. Like dp Smile
thanks!

Worst case scenario....they're crap and you bin them but at least they've cost peanuts and didn't take up valuable space in the car that could've been used for something more useful like wine. Smile

Don't do it!
I bought a bunch of inflatable pillows for camping and they deflated every night and I woke up grumpy with a crick in my neck!
