Weird stuff coming out - help!

DD2 is 10 days old and BF'ing. Have had a v. engorged boob with possible mastitis (doc not sure) and last night was draining it after a feed by expressing with my elecric pump and when i went to empty it I saw that I had produced something that I can only describe as semi-solid milk whey - DH's description was 'boob cheese' which turns my stomach a bit but it probably gives a better description.

What is this stuff?

DD still seems to be able to feed and I noticed that she's managed to extract some of this stuff as well when she's been feeding.

Normal Pennies - I managed to express something similar the other week when I had a blocked duct.

might be the stuff causing a duct blockage coming out. ebm can take on a creamy/watery separated look when it has stood fro a while too.

A friend had this and was told normal.
