Nice to see you back, pupuce. Can't remember how long you've been away - if it's more than three months, then I've had a ds since you left

Well Enid, take it easy and if the MW does know you ahve torn badly before she will make you listen (tell your hubby to remind her when she walks in!)
And expat - hearing Enid should make you realise that I am right about my bet

DD had her hand up next to her head and was sunny side up. It was awful.

Enid · 13/11/2005 12:27

I did tear but it was my own fault

honestly expat it couldnt have been more different dd1 was 'ear presenting' -horrible she was so bruised

with dd2 I woke at 2am, in hospital at 3.45am, she was born at 4.10am. No drugs, no time! and I was out by 10.30am. Bliss.

Oh, that gives me hope, Enid.

I had Haight-Ferguson forceps for DD and am SO hoping not to a) need an assisted delivery b) NOT tear along my episiotomy scar.

my worry is that I get so carried away with labour i completely ignore the midwife and just push like mad, dont care about pain, just want baby out...then I tear

Enid · 13/11/2005 12:10

so nice to see you back pupuce

yes it will be third

had vile high forcepts with dd1 and amazingly quick straightforward delivery with dd2. Am seriously worried that I wont make it to hospital this time but as I've never bothered with an epidural before I may as well have baby at home. Am talking to midwife next week.

And I know what I am talking about
You won't get pain relief as you will progress too quickly....

Bonsoir Marina
Expat - i am taking bets... labour of less than 10 hours, no pain relief this time...
Start believing it and it will happen.....

It took forever and I felt utterly blasted by the pain. Then, the baby had her hand up by her head and her head was turned the wrong way. After getting to 10cm and pushing for 1.5 hours, I had to have forceps.

By then, I'd been awake for 32 hours, in labour for 24 with nothing to eat or drink.

It wasn't a good time at all.

Salut Pupuce (et Tiktok aussi)

Expat ---- it is simple.... think positive, you can do this, you won't need an epidural etc.... believe me .... talk yourself into a positive birth... it will happen... what happened last time ?

Let's just say I've been rolling on the birthing ball faithfully and walking up the stairs sideways .

I KNOW it's not engaged, it's only 35 weeks and a second child. Just glad it's - so far- cepahlic.

SO hoping for a water birth this time - no forceps or epidurals.

Report
pupuce · 12/11/2005 19:55

Expat - can I help
