DS 14 months walks but doesn't pull up or get into sitting position

To be honest it's only just occurred to me this might not be right... is there any cause for concern? I only started thinking about it because he seems to have just started trying to sit up on his own but hasn't managed it yet. IE if I put him sitting he can sit very well and has done for ages, but has never got himself into that position.

Likewise he has been standing for ages wanting us to pull him up, and is now walking pretty well, but doesn't pull up on things.

Thank you - yes, he was very late to start rolling as well but does that happily now. We've probably let it happen by being too helpful!

My DD started walking at about 15 months, but only in the last few weeks, nearish 17 months, has started rolling over (!) and pulling herself up. She was like a doll you could set walking, but she couldn't get up to do it herself.

Worry not.

I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. They all do things in their own time.

My 13 mo does sit up by himself, gets himself into the sitting position, pulls himself up on furniture, can stand for a few seconds, but is not yet ready to walk by himself (only holding onto our fingers), so where some excel in some things, others lack and vice versa. Don't think you've got anything to worry about just yet. He'll get there in his own time.
