I know this is probably normal behaviour for a 9 mo and I am being PFB but I just want to check that she's OK. My DD is 9 mo and has just started cruising about on the sofa, coffee table etc. In the last couple of days she has fallen over and smacked her face on the coffee table which left a couple of grazes and then yesterday she slipped while she was crawling and headbutted my mum's brick fireplace which has left a bruise on her forehead.
Now my question is- how far should I go to prevent this happening? I don't want to raise her in a plastic bubble or wrap her up in cotton wool but I don't want her to really injure herself. What would be reasonable steps to take that would still leave her the freedom to learn to walk? She's a very independent baby and would hate being cooped up in a play pen but this is happening a lot. And I don't want people to think I'm a bad mum because she looks like she's done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson
