hiya all, could i pick a few brains today please?
Our DD 3.5 years is very bright and never stops talking or needing attention ;)
She goes to preschool for two mornings a week.

She wakes between 6 and 7, then i pop her to bed in the afternoon where she sleeps for between 1.5 and 2.5 hours We put her to bed at 7 - 7.30pm.
Any experience anyone? i was wondering if i stop her afternoon nap (and give up my 2 hour mental rest!) and to bed at night at the same time or let her go to bed when she feels tired , might she sleep in longer???

look forward to hearing your opinions...

I'd say stick to what you are doing. In my experience neither going to bed later, earlier or without a nap has affected wake up time.
My 5yo dd was still napping in the afternoon until she went to school. Now she is so tired after school she is in bed between 6 and 7pm but still up between 6 and 7am.
Sometimes she has a nap at the weekend, just a shame my ds (2.7) isn't of the same opinion so that I could have a nap too!

Hiya

My DD is 3.3. She goes to nursery 5 days a week. Bed time and wake up the same as yours, but no naps for the last few months.

I think it's very individual, but I definately follw you regaridng your own rest time.

A friend om mine who is a SAHM invented "siesta" time when her 4yo DD stopped napping, i.e. quiet time with reading or watching some TV and mummy not to be called for unless an emergency
