Does your 2 year old still drink milk?

DD has always had milk at bedtime and has sometimes asked for it in the day as well. She has always been a poor eater (quantity not variety)and milk was always the one thing I could guarantee to get into her. However the past few days she has refused to drink her milk and says she doesn't like milk. Is it important for her still to have milk at this age? She doesn't like milk on her cereal, and isn't a big fan of sauces or anything mushy (eg mashed potato)so I don't really know how to get it into her if it is. She will eat cheese or yoghurt etc but it entirely depends on her mood, sometimes she'll eat loads of it other times she will refuse it.

I tend not to stress about the shoulds but it seems to have been drummed into me that milk is important for kids and I can't help but worry about her having it. Of course this may just be a phase in which case I am worrying about nothing...

Ds1 (2.5) has a cup of rice milk 2 or 3 times a day, plus some on cereal for breakfast. I sometimes wonder if he'd eat more actual food if he drank less milk.

I thought they didn't really need it after 2 years old though, but could well have imagined that.

Very few of the 2 yos that I know well still drink milk at all.

dd is 2.7 and has about 3 breastfeeds a day, plus a cup or two (sometimes more) of cows milk. She's a real milk monster!

My 2yr old doesnt drink milk very often, but has plenty of yoghurts and cheese etc.

My 4yr old still has warm milk at bedtime, and cold milk at school in the afternoons.

Wish DD2 would drink more, but she really isnt taken with it, despite loving it until she was 18mnths old!

P.S I really wouldn't worry either. Ds been off milk and into juice/ oranges recently. There are lots of colds about and sometimes milk is a bit icky for them?

DS 2.3 is offered milk at brekkie but rarely has more than a few mouthfuls. He has milk on his cereal which is eaten. He'll eat 1-2 yoghurts per day and sometimes some cheese depending on what lunch is etc. He is then offered milk at bedtime and he will drink between 30-100ml, but not much.

Pink milk and fruit smoothies always very nice and tempting too.
If ds is off milk I shove a bit of extra cheese into whatever he's eating, sure that has calcium in it too.

dd has a small cup at bedtime but that's usually it. if she hasn't eaten much i sometimes offer her a cup at teatime but that's very rare.

No my 2.3 year old doesn't really drink it much. She dropped any bedtime milk at around the same age as your DD. She has milk on her cereal though, and I got her a sipper bowl from lakeland which has a straw attached to it. I put alot of milk on her cereal and she always drinks this so I know that she is getting a good amount in the day along with her other dairy products.
