should my 12 day old be crying every waking moment or do I need an exorcist?

It will end, can't tell you when but sending you hugs and lots of sympathy. It could just be immature digestive system causing a bit of discomfort or perhaps just tiredness. My ds was like this, he needed a lot of sleep so if he wasn't feeding or sleeping he was crying. Still a very fussy little boy but has long periods of contentedness and is a little cutie (mostly). It gets better!

i asked a similar question yesterday (mine is 15 days today)

think we're going to chat to HV about cranial osteopathy tomorrow when she comes, but in the meantime - they're goreous but the crying is tiring isn't it?

I would second the advice to see a cranial osteopath. Did wonders to my DD who was crying non stop for three weeks before that

niceone1 - have you thought about taking them to a chiropractor or cranial osteopath? ds2 was like this for the first 3 weeks of his life - literally every time his eyes were open he was crying. We took him to a chiropractor - turns out his neck was jammed from a ventouse delivery, 3 treatments later and he was like a different baby - I can't recommend them highly enough. If you do go this route though, try to find one that specialises in babies and children. HTH

Lol, I often asked the same question. Turns out- yes I did need an exorcist!!!

Does your baby have colic? Or just generally grumpy like our was/ is?!
