My son is almost six. He has always been high needs but things are getting worse and We're struggling. He is completely fearless and will run off. Anything can set him off into a mood. He is always jumping over furniture in the house. We can't get him to sleep. It takes hours most nights. He doesn't listen.
I had an appointment with the optician the other day for me and him and he refused to have his eyes tested. Fair enough I wasn't go to force him and just tried to carry on with my appointment. He kept on going over by the chemicals and wouldn't leave even when asked time again by me and the optician. They had to lock the door of the shop to stop him running out and he kept turning the light on stoping my examination. He then decided at the end he did want them tested and then refused to leave and I had to carry him out.
He is my gorgeous boy and I love him to bits. I am worried and scared though and I don't know what to do with him. My husband feels the same. If we try and go anywhere my youngest boy is easy but my eldest is such hard work.
I have emailed the school and will book an appointment with the gp. Is there anything else I can do please??
