I really like these names but for boys rather than girls. Would it be so wrong to use these for boys?

Is this a joke?

They are such unattractive names imo for anyone...

Kim as boys name maybe, but not kimberlee.

I knew a man called Stacy. He was very masculine (and rather tasty).

Don't like the spelling of Kimberlee - seems (a) made up and (b) feminine. Have only met male Kims - not Kimberlys - I have to say.

But I've taught several Courtneys and Stacys - all big strong basketball playing lads who were never perceived as girlie or indeed as having names which were in any way 'odd'.

It's partly a cultural thing, I think. Those names are much more common for boys in America and among the black community. So where you are geographically might make a difference to the level of eyebrow raising.

I know two male Kellys, both lovely (neither Welsh though!).

Lol at KimberLEE

I went to school with boys called Stacy and Courtney. However Stacy, Courtney and Kimberlee are vile as names for anyone, gilr, boy or dog.

There's Marion, of course. And Hilary.

All wrong IMO, but even if you think it is OK, def not Kimberlee -- Kimberley is the proper spelling

We had a baby boy born at work called Kelly a few weeks ago! Surprising, but is a boys name too in Wales!
But all of these names are just too feminine for me now. I think it is easier for boys names to pass to girls, but very difficult for them to move form girls back to boys!

"Kimberlee"?

Love Stacey for a boy, though.

I knew a man called Stacey who was an utter twat - but he had a Ferrari so did well with the ladies.

Also knew a chap called Kim whose opening gambit was "My name is Kim but you can call me Sue". I suppose he knew he had to take it on the chin!

Why would you inflict a name like that on anyone, boy or girl?

I have an antiquarian baby name book which lists Oscar as a girls only name - honest!

Boys/girls names change over time but it'd be cruel to give a DS a name they'd most certainly get teased for.

Courtney possibly (think Courtney Pine) but not the others

I know a few guys named Kelly. That to me seems pretty normal. I also know a guy named Shannon and another Tracy.

But please take in consideration that these boys have to grow up with these names! Please at least pick a boyish name for his middle so if he is extremely embarrassed, he has another name to fall back on
