i have a friend called Bessie Broom
i always told her she should be in an enid blyton book

DS would have been Betsy if a girl. (But he wasn't).
Tis a nice shortening for Elizabeth.

Enid Blyton's daughters were called Gillian and Imogen.

(Uncle) Quentin.

Enid Blyton really liked the name Julian. She seemed to use it a lot.

Jolyon is very jolly (!)

I like Elizabeth. Betty is lovely but you could also have Bets, Beth, Lizzie, Eliza or Liza. There's scope for her to decide what she prefers when she gets older.

The Secret Seven were:

Peter, Janet, Jack, Colin, Pam, Barbara, George (and Scamper!) but not sure any of these really fit the bill - quite 1960s - ex. Jack and George.
