As it looks. It's an old spelling of Eleanor.

My friend's daughter is called Rosa Catherine. It's lovely and really suits her.

How do you pronounce Elinor Twinkle?

Report
Twinklemegan · 13/06/2008 23:03

If DS was a girl he was going to be Elinor Rosa Marie (Rosa after my granny, Marie after DH's mother).

WOW a thread where everyone agrees.

It is beautiful. Rosa May would sound lovely IMO.

Rosa is lovely. Just be aware of initials when you are thinking of middle name - mind you I work in a job where our initials are used a lot - pity the poor person called BAD...

We sponsor a little girl called Rosa-Lydia, which I think is very pretty.

sorry, didn't think my post would look quite so bold

I like Emmeline and Christabel for middle names - good associations. Shame Sylvia doesn't go with Rosa!

Mavornia · 13/06/2008 21:07

Rosa Emmeline sounds lovely as someone suggested above

I also love:

Rosa Violetta (for a floral extravaganza of a name!)

Rosa Melisande Rosa Heloise Rosa Mariola

Rosa Daisy ?

Rosa Amelia (lots of A's!)

or Rosa Katherine

Bf is called louise so can't really do that, although it sounds really nice.

I love Rosa Evangeline but its too close to my dd1's first name.

I really like Rosa Olivia, it goes really well with our surname, think we may have found our middle name!

no no, that would come out as RosaRelizabeth unless you put a really hard 1950s-style glottal stop on the E.

What about Rosa Luxembourg?

I think you need either a one syllable or three syllable middle name with Rosa
Rosa Grace good.
Also Rosa Fleur,
Rosa Emmiline,
Rosa Christabel

Only one syallable in surname and Hayley you are too close to our surname with that suggestion!

Which also means we can't have Rosa Lily which I like

I'm glad every one likes it so far, keep the suggestions coming.

I really like Rosa Grace, Rosa Florence so far.
