I don't like Jennifer but LOVE Jenny.

I like the rest, but be sure you don't mind them being shortened once they're older. Jessica likely to become Jess or Jessie, Abigail Abi, and Catherine Cathy, Kate, or K. And it will be TOTALLY outside of your control. I like all of the shortened versions of these, but it's not my child!

Catherine.

It's one of those names which is not unusual, but neither is it common (in terms of frequency ).

I love it.

Jennifer or Abigail; I don't like the others. But you should choose what YOU like!

Out of your list I like Jessica the most. Think it's a beautiful name, and to be honest, though it may have been popular when I was at school, I haven't heard anybody call their dd Jessica in years. And most of the time I've heard it being used as a middle name, not a first. I think the more popular girls names now are ones like Lily and Ruby tbh.

You're the opposite of me, I had loads of girls names picked but couldn't find a boys name. Luckily dd turned out to be a girl

What's your dd's name like, that way you may get a name suggestion that 'goes well' with your other child.

I always thought I'd like names that were a bit more unusual, when it came to it though my list was actually quite traditional. I had on my (long!)list:

Charlotte (dd's name)
Alice (reserving it for if I was to ever have another girl!)
Juliette
Jane
Isla
Jessica
Hermione
Lila / Lily
Aria
Audrina
Seren
Chloe
Grace / Gracie
Emma
Georgia
Gloria
Evelyn

Love Katherine

Wuthering Heights is my fave. But I love the K!

I favour names that can be shortened. Mine and ds are able to be cute, familiar and formal, lots of variety. I dont have a middle name, which is very sad, even a naf one would be better than none!

Dancer - Yes I know how you feel. I had DD1s name decided by the time I was about five .

When DD2 came along it felt as though she would just get one of the other options from DD1s list that we didn't use and I didn;t really want to do that. As it turned out DH said I want to call her and I said OK, sounds fine but didn't think about it for a while - wasn't sure it was right and was worried it might not have suited her. Then one day her middle name just came to me - the two together were fab and the name was decided.

I had a MC last year, I knew she was a girl, and I knew her name from the start - funny isn't it?

From your list I like

Abigail (abi)- I know lots of pretty Abis
Jessica (DD1s reserve)
Jennifer (although Jenny is awful IMO) but it is often shorted to Jen for older women who think Jenny sounds too 'little girly'
Catherine is quite versatile I guess as she could be called Cat or Kate or Katie also (choose your own name )
Don't like Sian at all, If she doesn't like it when she is older than there isn't much scope to change it.

I also recommend Megan - I won't get to use it now. To be reserved for only the most beautiful and precious girls (as I'm sure yours will be )

I like Catherine the best, not mad on Jennifer or Abigail BUT that's because I once had a holiday job in an estate agency and there was a particular type of woman who, once she'd left, would have every member of the office look at one another and agree - Abigail Longshot!
