Juniper!

I've always had a soft spot for this name, and amazingly it is now on DP's and my agreed shortlist - although it's not his favourite.
Is it just too...nippy? I think it's got a great sound to it, and good shortenings. (I never thought choosing names would be this hard.)
For interest, other names on list:
Freya
Lilias
Theadora
Ada

Really like Juniper. Definitely my favourite name on your list.

I want to like Juniper but the nip sound is offputting.

I like Ada and would also suggest Elspeth or Greta.

I knew a Juniper that went by Nips 😂

Oh I was going to say Juno is lovely too if Juniper is too nippy.

I really like Juniper - I do know one.

I also like Theodora or Thea.

Not a fan on Juniper but I like your other names :)

I'm surprised so many people say they like it. It's unbearably hipster. I'd cringe so much if I heard the name irl.

Yep, I know you're not an Ada fan @NoSauce... Grin

It’s ok, a million times better than Ada.

Well if you have 3 names OP that's a fab shortlist so why not just wait until baby is born and see which of the 3 suits her best? I know heaps of folk who had "decided" on a name then changed it once they saw their new little person.

I wouldn’t use Juniper myself but I really love it. Theodora I also love - I suggested it but it was veto-ed sadly

I don’t think so (gin link), OP!

Go for whatever you love now. You never go off your child’s name once it’s theirs, because it becomes “them”.

I live in N London, and Juniper wouldn’t be an unusual choice here at all.

(And a PP said I agree - I think it is spelled Theodora, not Theadora. If you went for this name, she could be Teddy, Thea or Dora. So sweet!)

There is one other thing...I had alcohol problems in my youth and have been sober for quite a few years now. Most people aren't really aware of this, but I do wonder if that just makes the gin link extra weird, and if I'll get slightly tired of it.. Wine

My heart wants Juniper!! (Cringe..) But Ada, Freya and Thea feel like safer options, and still lovely imo :s

Go for Juniper - she could be Juni for short. Beautiful.

Love juniper.

I’d love to be called Juniper.

Love juniper! Your other choices are lovely too, but I know several babies of each (North West and London) so my perspective is that they are getting more popular. I would choose juniper in a heartbeat.
