Can't think of one boys name! Help!!

So it's been agreed that DP and I will finally have the bane conversation next week. He was reluctant to decide too early in case anything went wrong.

I know he will go for traditional, top 50. Not what I'm looking for...
I'm also a teacher and sadly, so many names remind me of 'interesting' children I've taught in the past. Just can't think of a boys name!

Here are my favourite girls' names:

Greta
Aurelia
Violet
Freya
Saffron

Throw me some boys names, please!! X

Jesse! I want to use it but DS2 isn't likely.
I've currently got a Jude and I never met any baby Jude's before, however people do seem to mention it on these comments a lot. Wether it actually gets used is another matter though.
I also like Rueben, Hugo and Isaac.

Your names are lovely but Freya is popular and violet gets mentioned on every girls name thread on mn!! I'm imagining lots of violets in classrooms in the next 4-5 years!
Very hard to choose names that don't remind you of a previous pupil.
How about
Isaac
Stanley
Theo
Marcus
Saul

Incidentally, not sure if you know, but all your girl's names except Saffron and Freyr are zooming up the popularity charts....and Freya is already in the top 50.

Patrick.

But it doesn't matter. Choose a name you like, and once it is attached to a lovely baby it will be the most beautiful name in the world.

My boys are Malachi and Ishmael. We're not religious, but wanted names that aren't common without sounding too made-up or Footballers' Wivesish. The Old Testament is a pretty good source of classic but rare names. I'm not the only one that's noticed this, though; some of the more well-known ones (Jonah, Isaac, Jacob, etc) are definitely getting more popular now.

I'm surprised you've put Freya as it's rising in popularity and even ubiquitous in some areas. Very different from the other names you've suggested.

That said, teachers I know tend to go for more popular names so that the name associations have been doled. Like if you've only taught one Nebuchadnezzar then that's who that name is, but Jack or Ellie could be anybody. That said, there are a couple of children who've stuck in my head so much all their namesakes are irrelevant Grin

Could you go for "traditional top 50" type names which are currently less fashionable? I'm thinking of names like:

John
Andrew
Michael
Julian
