Honestly I think it sounds like a pets name. However it is a pretty and unusual name and maybe the child could make it her own. Not sure if i'd spell it with one l or two.

Yes it's lovely ! I teach a Tallulah and all her friends call her Lula which I love.

I rather like it, although Jodie Foster / Bugsy Malone was my automatic association, too! (Great film, so that's a positive, IMO).

Would depend a lot on the combination with middle name(s) and surname, I think. Probably not Talulah/ Tallulah Amaryllis Fotherington-Smythe, for example... Wink

But, yes, it's pretty. And Lulu/ Lou/ Lula are cute NNs.

I have a tallulah rose and everyone loves her name. If you read up on its meaning/origin it's very interesting.

That name conjures up an image of a hooker to me. Sorry!

Not against trendy names and think they suit the children they are given to. But I just feel trendy names are cute for a little one but I can't imagine an old person called Tallulah. Its strange to picture old people homes of the future with residents called Jayden, Kai, Harrison, Tallulah, Etc.

I don't like it, sorry. Just doesn't sound like a real name - too frilly.

I think you can only pull it off if you're very posh Grin

Don't some people use it as a name for lady/girly bits Hmm

We had a hamster called Tallulah. She was a supercilious little bit hectic unhelpful, sorry

I love it but wasn't brave enough to use it. Tally and Lulu are both cute nicknames. In the end it was just too cutesy. I'd go for a stronger name.

I think it's a lovely name, it's one of my all time favourites.

I've always thought it was a joke name for a pet or a doll. It's ridiculously frilly. I think you'd struggle to be taken seriously with a moniker like that. I wonder if the British registrars would let you have 'Does-The-Hula-In-Hawaii' for a middle name? The Kiwis didn't go for it.

Couple of girls at ds's school called Tallulah and they're very sweet and not chavvy at all.

I think it's a nice name. Would never use it myself though, it's my mum's cat name Grin

I don't like it because it doesn't roll off the tongue very well.

I think Elon Musk's ex-wife is a Tallulah.

I don't really like it either. It isn't the worst name but not one I would ever pick.

Nope, really don't like it.

I can't imagine the green light being given to an 11 year old playing that character these days. It was a bit ambiguous and definitely very adult.

It makes me think of Bugatti Malone but I really love that film so it's not such an awful thing!!

Lulu is a cute name too.

Salty lounge singer and hostess I thought.

Can't hear it without thinking of (and probably singing) the bugsy malone song, but I guess that won't be so popular in her age group?
