Ezra for a girl?

We are a turkish family and there Esra is a common girls name, but I really want a Z in the name so i figured Ezra is perfect & I love it!

Do you think it matters that it is a boys name? isnt it becoming more unisex these days?

How about the name Erza? Same letters but different order. I know a little girl with this name and I think it's nice.

Sorry, Ezra will always conjure up a male in mind. However that might be to her advantage in this increasingly sexist world

Esra isn't Ezra.

I wouldn't do it. But that's probably just me.

I know an Esra. Love it, and would love to have a DD called it. Can't see why using a Z instead would be a problem!

It's a great name , as is Esra. No one will query the different spelling if you prefer it with a z.

I don't agree-Ezra is very traditionally a boy's name. It's naive to think people won't be surprised to find a girl has been called Ezra.

Ezra is a boys' name.

Much prefer Esra.

With the A ending it sounds quite feminine imo.

Esra looks perhaps a little more feminine than Ezra, but it's up to you.

DS1 has a female rabbit named Ezra.

I don't think it's unisex, but it's not overly masculine.

We know a newborn Ezri - might be a Star Trek name? Not my thing, but a possibility for you?

I've never heard it as a girl's name.

Ezme is similar?
