Down to the final 3

We recently had DD number 3 and have to name her soon.
We are down to our final three.
I understand these might not be everyone's cup of tea, but we love them, they suit our other daughters names.

Could you tell me which you prefer?

India Rose

Mila Rose

Honey Rose

Thanks!

Charlotte, Victoria, Florence, Georgia, Adelaide, India, Asia, Paris, all place and people names! I have used this example to win DH over calling future DD a 'place name', even though the place was named after a person Grin

Him: 'But that's a place name!'
Me: '.... You mean just like Florence, Charlotte and Victoria? Confused'
Grin

Definitely loving India OP!

Satsuki I feel like that about Georgia as well. The country doesn't come to mine, because it's always been a very popular name here. But India doesn't have the same kind of worn-in, tried-and-tested name feel.

Love India Rose think it sounds great Smile

Defo Mila Rose ( just as a side note - we gave our first child a 'different name' , he loathes it. Just because u are the sort of confident person who could carry off an unusual name it doesnt mean that your child will be! The rest of our children have normal names as a result )!

It's weird, Florence I think of a as a girl's name first and foremost, despite it being also a place, but strangely India is more strongly redolent of the country, for me anyway.

I don't think you need to have a connection to those places to like the name though, anymore than you have to be born in June to be called June.

June is a nice name.

Lol at live

Perhaps that is why Florence is so popular. It is a lot more accessible 😀😀😀

If RYANAIR start flying to the US, the name Brooklyn will soar in popularity.

I love this thread - if our baby turns out to be a girl I had India rose (indie) down as my first choice - but bloody gutted can't have it now as never been to India. I do like Indian food though does that count? Grin

Definitely Mila. Honey Rose sounds a bit like an air freshener.

My dh had reservations about both our dcs names when I first suggested them, now if you asked him you would get the impression he chose them Hmm Grin

Obviously if it is a strong dislike that's different, of course, but guessing not if it's in final 3.

India Rose is a lovely choice. (It's actually grown on me over the course of the thread)

Love Mila, gorgeous name, simple and classy

Surely if your dh isn't keen on India that rules it out?

Unless you work on a 3rd child, last chance to use names and call her Mila India Rose which I like best of all.

I know this isn't helpful, but they are all very pretty - do you have a gut feeling about any?

Say you couldn't have one of them - which would you be most disappointed about?

Initially I looked at all the names and loved India Rose.
Growing up I had a friend called India and her name was always so unusual ( over 25 years ago!) I think it goes really well with Rose and I love the NN Indie.

Now though I'm starting to think I really like Mila Rose too. Mila might actually be more unusual than India these days, as I do believe India has become more popular.

However if you have connections to India and the country means a lot to you then that would make me think it's def the best choice.

I prefer Mila op (but then I have a soft spot for Maya which is similar).
Second would be India and last would be Honey. Rose is a very pretty middle name that goes with any of your choices.

People say stuff about every name chosen. There's always opinions.

My point was that I have told all that these are my three choices.
Which did people prefer?

Its completely pointless to tell someone to 'go back to the drawing board' if they have actually said it will be one of those three names chosen.

I don't give a fuck if people say to me...
'have you ever been India though' or 'rose is so boring as a middle name's

I wasn't asking for help finding a new name.
I've chosen them and just asking which one people would pick out the three.

That's all.

Not a big fucking deal crikey, calm down.
