Baby names

If I love Ivy and Iris but can't use them....

Baby is due in a week and we're all set for boys names but still not in love with a girls option.

My name is short, punchy, easy to spell and pronounce and classic but relatively rare. I never meet name buddies in real life but name gets a lot of mn love! I want something similar for possible dd2!

I love the name Ivy as it's classic but simple and not overused. But it just won't work with DH surname. Our dd1 is Iris which I adored throughout last pregnancy.

What else should I be considering? I like Seren but just not convinced like I was with Iris.

I know two Iris-es!Their sisters are called Violet and Lily! (So maybe Iris parents tend to continue with the flower theme!) Do you like either of these?

As mentioned above, I think Rowan is a good "nature-inspired" alternative. Or Rose-lovely and rather underused as a first name.

There's a lovely Welsh name called Eirlys, which means snowdrop. Sounds similar-ish.

Good Luck anyway

I promised I'd update so.....

We couldn't use any of your lovely suggestions because we had a boy!!!

He's called Harvey Alexander. Thanks for all your help, though.

Lots more good suggestions. Thank you!

I really like the simple, 2 syllable ones. Love Ines but it's too similar to Iris. Also like Seren, Sylvia, Elin/Erin, Thea, Mia, Alice and Nancy. A couple of them are on our list but others are too popular or have been ruled out by DH.

Any more suggestions? I promise to update when we choose!!

I'd echo Bronte and Laurel from the above.

I like Iris and Lily together, and separately. Also Grace and Isolde.
