So we found out last week that we're having a girl. We have 2 names that we really like and can't decide between so we're putting it to a mumsnet vote. The names are Clara or Eliza. We also have no idea for a middle name so suggestions welcome!

Clara. I quite like Eliza too but it's a harsher sound, as others have said.

Clara Eliza sounds good as a first-middle pair? Better than Eliza Clara anyway.

Other middle suggestions:
Clara Beth
Clara Evangeline
Clara Felicity
Clara Faith
Clara Hermione
Clara Georgina
Clara Isabella
Clara Juliette
Clara Joy
Clara Marie
Clara Nicole
Clara Ophelia
Clara Persephone
Clara Rhiannon
Clara Sue
Clara Victoria

Clara I think, because it's softer. Eliza sounds harder even though they both end with an 'a'. I would see what she looks like because you have two great name but I think I'd wait to see what she looked like!

Eliza

Much less popular (I do like Clara though)

Clara.

With Eliza - I immediately think of a cockney flower girl in My Fair Lady.

Our son was going to be Clara Elsie if he was a girl. It's almost both of your favourite names, but I think Elsie flows better as a middle name than Eliza.
