Which way round for twin middle names!?

31+ weeks with DCDA twin boys, we have decided unless they really don't suit them on the first names Lewis and Noah.

For Middle names we like James and John

I would love to know opinions on which way round sounds better..

Lewis John and Noah James
Or
Lewis James and Noah John

Thanks!!

Lewis John
Noah James

Hadn't noticed the John Lewis thing either.

Although i prefer Noah James, rather than Noah John, Lewis John seems a bit unfortunate for the other one who may get teased about being named after the shop John Lewis...

Lewis Johnathon, or Lewis Jonah may be better?

You can't call a child John Lewis it's a bit mean, although not as bad as housr of Fraser Grin

Anyway Noah John and Lewis James has a nicer rhythm to it.

possum18 Heh!

Tbh, it's so rare that someone gets called by both names that I think it really doesn't matter very much which way around they are. It's just one of those things that seems very important before the baby is actually born. I changed my mind about my daughter's middle names two minutes before we went into the Registrar's office. I still mildly regret what I changed one of them to, but they are never used, so pffft.

Good luck!

I thought of John Lewis too. And now I've heard it it really sticks out.

I preferred Noah John and Lewis James in the first place anyway!

Lovely names OP.

Noah John and Lewis James - they are both the same letters Smile then you don't get the JL connection too. However, I didn't think of it

Noah John and Lewis James - but I'm biased as I already have a Noah John Grin (having cast around for a second name for a long time and avoided John as it was my late dad's and we'd decided we didn't want to use any family names - but we both independently decided that we thought Noah John worked really really well).

Congratulations on the twins - and they are all lovely names!

Oh dear. I think Noah James sounds lovely, but that leaves you with Lewis John, which did make me think of JL. What about Jonathan instead of John?

Might Louis (prn. Loo-ee) work for you instead of Lewis? The combination with Noah feels more balanced it the mouth too, IYSWIM.
