I have a little boy named Noah and I'm due another on NYD! What names are your favourite from my list?

Boy:
Elliot - this is my favourite
Oliver - not sure I want an obvious NN (because Noah doesn't)
Dylan
Isaac
Aidan
Lewis

Girl:
Darcie - I knew a guy called Darcy, so I can't have that spelling
Olivia - not keen on Livvy
Eden
Gabriella - not keen on Gabbie
Annabelle
Hayley - this might be my favourite

We used Oliver as a middle name as we couldn't stand Ollie, so that might be an option...

Noah is very classic and Old Testament. I think brothers would be things like Jacob, David, Daniel, Adam, Micah, Jonah. Sisters Rebecca, Sarah, Leah, Naomi, Ruth, Rachel. I don't know if some of
these names are as popular in the UK but they are all very mainstream in the US.

I love Dylan, it means man of the sea.

Edie for a girl is my all time favourite name, so Eden is my choice from your girls list.

I'm beginning to think that it's just MN where there is a tendency to give nicknames for everything. I know 3 Hayley's and not one is called Hay or any other variation of the name. Equally I know a Matilda and she is always called just that. MN would state that she would be inflicted to a lifetime of being called Tilly.

  1. Aidan 2. Dylan
  2. Darcie 2. Eden (love Eden but quite biblical next to Noah?)

Darcie is bad.

Eden goes well.
Hayley will be hay.
Annabelle will be belle or Anna.

Two of my dds have names from your list and Noah was the name we'd picked had dd3 been a boy Grin
I have an Olivia, it is never shortened to Livvy, occasionally she gets Liv. I also have an Anna, just Anna, so I like those two. I really like Gabriella, I also like Gabrielle. The other girls names I'm not as fussed on.

From your boys list I like Dylan, I always have done (its my guilty pleasure name) and Elliot. I'm not as keen on Oliver, Lewis, Isaac and although Aidan is a lovely name it was very popular when I was at school so I always think of it as being a bit dated.
