Amoura? I really love it, but I think everyone will hate it, not that I am too fussed ( not even pregnant yet :) )

Do you mean Aurora, OP?
I think Amara is quite nice.

Did explain there is no baby, not anything to go for, and not a name I would actually pick, just a guilty pleasure :)

There used to be 'Amora - academy of sex and relationships' on Leicester Square. It did not last long though

I know an adult Amora, and because she's lovely I've always liked the name too.

Maura might be better known, and has a very similar sound.

According to a quick google it looks like an Arabic name that means beautiful or radiant or lovely.

I don't mind it (a bit feminine for my taste) but I do have a DD with a challenging name for most English speakers.

It's neither a name or a random word.
I would look for alternatives

I know an Amira, very pretty name, but amoura sounds like an air freshener or something

And if you go with Amora - that's a brand of mustard. Hmmm.

It's not a Spanish name for love that I know. Love is amor in Spanish.

But Spanish for love is amor. It's more like a tarted up French amour. Sounds American to me.

What about Amara?

I think a Spanish name meaning love would be Amora, OP.
