Thanks to the great suggestions from my previous post we've got a great short list of names which we've been adding middle names to, the one we've struggled with is Anna. Any suggestions for Anna would be much appreciated.

P.s. last pestering name post I promise Smile

Btw, I'm hearing Catriona liltingly, as I was told by a Scottish person it should be pronounced, with the 'o' like a half-syllable, not emphasised, so Cat-RI-uh-na, not Cat-ri-ON-a.

Banana, Spanner, Conda, Matronic

Or, um, well, I think names ending in a work well, though they can sound a bit twee, depending.

Also, Anna easily runs into the next name, so you need it to start with a consononant or you have to create a pause 'Anna Elizabeth, otherwise you'll get 'Anna Lizibeth' or 'Ann-el-izabeth'.

That's why Maria works. It may sound like 'Anam-aria' so you need to check that. I think that's true where the second letter is a vowel, esopecially an a. Less so for Sophie.

How about:
Miranda
Lucinda
Catriona

Whereas with Bryony, you get a natural distinction between the names, I think because of the double consonant sound at the beginning. Similarly with Frances but not Florence 'Anaf-Laurence'.

Whatever you pick don't go with Nicole. My friend is an Anna Nicole and she's going out with a Mr Smith.

Although in a few years time I guess nobody will remember who Anna Nicole Smith was, but not a great namesake!

That's mad, locket. I read Anna Elise and had a shock of recognition. Dd is Anya Elise, and up until that point I had been going 'oh, I wonder what middle name I would choose for a girl called Anna....'

Duh. I have one.
