Jesus cant believe youre getting such a hard time over names which lets face it are no worse than the MN faves, atticus, felix, arlo etc which are awful. i like milton best out of your choices and i suspect parents will have more of an issue with an unusual names than other kids will.

Sorry but they are all really, really bad. Has you DH come up with anything that is not going to make your son a laughing stock at school and for the rest of his life ?

Sorry, but I am thirding this!
Augustus = Gloop - when your child starts reading Roald Dahl they will NOT thank you!

I know a male and a female Aubrey. Prefer it for a girl though.

I know an Aubrey - it may not be as unusual as you'd like.

I thought Innes was a girls name but I love all your other ideas. Think Clement needs to go down on my shortlist. Angus would be an alternative for Augustus.
Love Erasmus too. Erasmus Darwin was v impressive.

I like Bertram the best, of your choices, but Silas and Austin are great suggestions in keeping with your taste, no? I also like Arthur, and Benedict.

Report
LittlePandaBear · 26/06/2013 18:37

Have you thought about Austin?

Its a great blog Duff, thanks. Some cracking new options there. Beginning to get burnout. What about Mortimer? Clem and Mott/ Mort???

I like Milton! It's the name of my Mum's guinea pig Grin Not very keen on any of the others, to be honest.

Report
NooMyx · 26/06/2013 10:06

Milton and Augustus would be my favourites from your options, too.
I like the others, too, though.

DS 2 was going to be Augustus. I even purposely conceived him to be born in August. The little bugger came out a girl. And I don't much like Augusta
