A definite no imho.It has a harsh and ugly sound. A very unattractive name.

I really love uncommon names but have always thought Ursula looks ugly written down and sounds ugly too. Sorry!

I like it, it's on my list for dd2.

It's a lovely name. Go for it.

Mildred is also a nice alternative Wink

Strong not string!

I adore Ursula - it was our girl name for this baby but he's a third boy :) It is unusual, string and elegant and ours would have been named for Ursula Le Guin (and hubby sure didn't mind the Ursula Andress link either, hehehe).

Love love Ursula, so elegant - would have used it myself but it didn't go with our surname. Lovely name Smile

Love it! Had DD2 shown up vaguely on time, she'd have been Ursula.

It's my mum's name. I used to hate it but now I think it's lovely - unusual but not too weird, strong and with a great meaning (little she-bear).

I really like it, but DH has vetoed it from our list. That doesn't mean I've taken it off though!

I like it!

It's the kind of name I usually like, but just can't get past the fact it was Phoebe's pornstar twin sister's name in Friends. Sorry.

I love it and was seriously tempted to use it, but didn't in the end - I wasn't that keen on the nn for it and thought it was a bit long to use every day. Love the way it sounds though, I think it's an elegant and sophisticated name.

I like it, it has a lovely sweeping sound and is very dignified and elegant! (And I'm saying that as someone who grew up watching the Little Mermaid).

Hmm. Not sure. It's quite unusual. On the whole though, probably not.
