I like it, but family might gasp in horror. What do you think?

Its my Dad's name. I think its a strong name, like David but not keen on Dave.

My dbro's name. I like it - very classic and will suit either dave personality or David personality and either can be used.
My in laws once spent a good ten mins slagging it off in front of me but I don't often agree with them so quite reassuring in a way!

Nice classic name, not overused at the moment.

one of mine has it as a middle name and its one of my son's friends names. only thing that put us off it as a first name was didn't like 'dave' that much.

My DS is David, and I thought there'd be loads, but he's the only one in his school, and I've not worked with a David in years of nursery work. I love the name, but I am a little biasedGrin

Classic, old name. Not overused. Seems a good choice to me - what's not to like Confused?

Lovely classic name that isn't that widely used these days. Great choice, and makes a refreshing change from all the Alfies, Jacks, Finns you meet these days. Go for it!
