DH loves Leah and Natasha. I quite like them but love Pippa and/or Joni.

Our surname is Friedmann.

Thanks so much for any opinions or other suggestions!

Joni Friedman has a lovely 60s folk vibe to it - Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez...

I think it sounds American but cool.

Love Pippa, but would have Phillipa as a full name.

Hate Leah (have always heard it pronounced Lee-a)- think leer. If you like the Lay-a pronounciation, what about Layla, which is pretty and would avoid confusion.

Joni - too much like Joan

Natasha - agree its dated and a bit corny. In the same league as Tiffany etc i.e. a bit 80s porn-star and hard to pull off if you're not pretty.

So Pippa by a mile for me! Grin

Love Leah. Classic.

Joni is very sweet and due a comeback.

Natasha and Pippa aren't my cuppa.

Natasha (in Russia, anyway) was a diminutive of Natalia (Russian 'short' names are often longer than the name they are short for, ime!).

But Natasha has been seen as a 'proper' name for years.

shockers Pippa is a great nameSmile

Pippa - like as nickname for Philippa
Joni - not keen
Leah - like if pronounced Lee-ah, but not Laya.
Natasha - like :)

Pippa (Philippa) definitely (dd2 is 4 months old, so bit biased).

Don't like Joni much, but prob because too close to my own name ( which I REALLY dislike)
Natasha is ok, but I agree sounds dated
Really not a fan of Leah (either pronunciation), there are a lot of them around though.

Surely Leah is pronounced Lee-ah I've never heard it pronounced otherwise. Joni is nice unusual but maybe too unusual. Not keen on Pippa or Philipa and think Natasha is a bit dated.

I don't like Leah. A bit 80's.
I don't like Pippa. Too pony club.

Natasha and pippa are both lovely. They go nicely with surname too.

Not keen on joni or Leah sorry.

Leah, Natasha (or Natalia) and Joni are fab. Pippa is nice for a child up to age 10 but Philippa is nicer from then on.

Overall, I like Natasha/ Natalia and Joni best.

All nice names but Pippa is my favourite. It would have been on my shortlist but it sounds ridiculous with our surname.

I like Leia Friedmann; it's pretty. I'd spell it like that, though - Leah is Lee-ah to me.

I'd go with Natasha, classic! x

Natasha and Leah are gorgeous names. Pippa and Joni, thoug cute, are a little bit twee, especially for a grown woman. IMHO
